Join us for a night of stories, laughter and music! Award winning storyteller Kim Weitkamp will be joined by songwriter & storyteller Michael Reno Harrell, champion West Virginia liar Adam Booth and local favorite Lisa Tabor. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a Relay for Life Team and to Gary Fields, a local police officer dealing with breast cancer.

Youthful Voices Competition

$5 Entry Fee for Contestants/Free to the public
Will be held at the Coffee Depot located in Christiansburg.

 

Categories:       Group A 1st – 4th Grade

                        Group B 5th – 8th Grade

                        Group C 9th – 12th Grade

 

Stories can be any type or style. Original stories are welcome. Story length is a maximum of 5 minutes with a 30 second grace period.

 

Prizes will be awarded to all category winners with one Youthful Voices Grand Prize winner. Youthful Voices Grand prize winner will perform at the evening show at Christiansburg High School and will receive 4 tickets to the Carolina Storytelling Festival in Laurinburg, NC where they will perform on the main stage! Also, each category winner will be considered for entry into the National Youth Storytelling Showcase in Pigeon Forge, TN. All participants must pre-register. Liars Contest

$5 Entry Fee for Competitors/Free to the public
To be held at the Christiansburg High School

 

All liars are welcome!!  7 minute maximum story length. Prizes will be awarded with the Biggest Liar receiving the coveted Golden Shovel Award.  Winner of the liars contest will perform in the evening concert.
